Central Nebraska Area Minutes

Groups
Rod will switch to the no sevice charge checking. Rod came over to my house Sunday nite to go over the books. He had the books right , just didn't relay the info correctly. Bottom line, the Groups in the Area are not sending contibutions to Area. We will be out of money shortly, unless Groups choose to support the Area financialy.
A lot of the cards were stamped and various addicts took them to distribute them in the public.
Kevin has been elected for the Alt. Area Delegate (or Co-Delegate). He assured the Area he would attend the Area and Regional Meetings.
Just a reminder, please reregister your meeting/group. World has a new computer system and they need to update.

T-Shirts; We have some T-shirts left for sale. Some addicts took some of the shirts out to other Groups/Meetings to try to sell. We talked about ordering more. At next Area we need to talk about the T-shirt column in the treasury.
Again we discussed communication. Nobody, it seems, recieved minutes from Area or Region. It was decided to see how Kevin and Candy do at the next Region Meeting. It was sugested that we have a third person to take notes, and also to take a tape recorder along. Gus will attempt to mail the minutes out. If you want minutes you must give me your address, otherwise I will just send them to the Groups addresses.
Next month Rod S. will be the facilitator for this Area. I will contiue to attend Area and help him . Thank you for allowing me to serve. I will continue to be the Area secretary and post the minutes on the Web page as well as send them out. g u s
Hastings needs speakers every other Wed. Nite at the Regional Center. 1 yr. clean is recomended. If interested please call James at 402-462-5273. Please pass this on!
The Area archives are now being stored at my house.
Many funtions coming up in the next few weeks! Remember if you want your funtions on the Web page all you have to do is send them to me.
Kevin, James, Bill, voulenteered to get the pizza ordered for the next Regional meeting. We will try to put some kind of funtion on after the January meeting.
If this Area wants to host next years convention, please attend the convention committee meeting at 3:00 following the October Area meeting (8 Oct. 00). If we don't get participation at this meeting we will not be putting on the 2001 convention.
There is a new meeting, a basic text study, that meets on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Fransis Hospital Conferance Room 3B. They would like your support and if you have an extra Basic text that you would like to donate, that too would be apprciated.
