Groups
Gina went over the treasury. We have an ending balance of $125.95 Deposit of $50 from Mon/Wed Noon Group, Donated $100 to Region, $15 for Rent, and bought Basic Texts and 12 Concepts.
Also, we are still looking for a new treasurer. PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO ASK FOR NOMINATIONS! Gina volunteered to be the temporary treasurer. Thanx again Gina!
They really need speakers every other Wed. Nite at the Regional Center. 1 yr. clean is recommended. If interested please call James at 402-462-5273. Please pass this on!

This Area has got the bid for the 2001 NA Regional Convention. The theme is " Trust the Process" We need lotsa help on this everyone. The next meeting will be at 1:00pm on Sunday, the 3rd of June at the Interstate Holiday Inn.
The Area has formed an H&I Sub-Committee. It will meet before next month's Area at 1:00 . Click Here for important update!
July 14th Funtion; The Thursday nite VA meeting and the Alda Meeting have asked to host the street dance. The Area was ok with that.
The 2 way workings of Consenses Based Desicion Making (CBDM) was discussed. If an individual really feels strongly about a topic they should not change thier view. CBDM is spiritual only if those involved are in contac with thier H.P. Both the majority and minority. If everyone else feels a different way than you , then you only need to examine your motives on taking a different stand, you are not required to 'join up' or get out. On the other hand if one person insists that everyone else is on the wrong track, the majority need to look at thier motives as well. This does work if everyone puts for the effort and trys to leave the attitudes at the door.
We had 1 nomination for ASR (Lin H.) and 2 nominations for ASRA (Tiff and Kevin) It was decided to keep all three! Thanx everyone!!
Hapenings at the Region Level: Larry is our New RDA and Dale is the RD. Danny K. was elected to the Internal Communication Comm. We need nominations for Regional Sec. These have to back by June Area meeting. Senna got the bid for the 2002 convention. The Region Sent over $1200 to World.
For the next few months I'll be inclosing a copy of "News Flash" from World. If your Group or a group of Groups would like to get together and have a workshop over one of these topics that would be kewl!
Phoneline; The reps from Hastings will try to get some more names from the Hastings people.
We talk about moving the Area meeting to Hastings (alternating it).To avoid confusion it was decided we need to keep Area at the same time and 2nd Sunday of every month. If a place could be found in Hastings at that time we would be willing to try it.
Next Area meeting the 10th of June., 2001, at St Stephens Church, Grand Island.
The H&I Sub-Comm. will meet at 1:00
The Area is from 1:30 to 3:00
The Convention Comm. will meet the week before at the Interstate Holiday Inn.
