- Internal Communication Chair
Danny K., Southeast
Area
Qualifications:
I cleaned up on June 15, 1981. I have a sponsor that I have
recently
increased my efforts to communicate with on a regular basis. I'm
working
the steps. I attend my home group every Monday evening, the Road
to
Recovery meeting in LIncoln. I've served that group as
secretary,
treasurer, GSR and alternate GSR.
I've served SENANA by completing terms as: PI chair and
vice-chair,
treasurer, ASC chair and vice-chair; I've been involved in PI
and H&I in
various ways. I am currently SENANA's web-servant and moderator
for an NA
email discussion group.
I've served the NE RSC by completing terms as: PI chair and vice
chair,
treasurer, RSC Chair and vice chair, convention treasurer, RSR
and
alternate RSR.
I've served as a voting member of the World PI Committee.
I haven't sought an elected position in NA for several years but
I have
helped my area's PI committee to produce their meeting list and
hI helped
the regional PI committee to produce their quarterly meeting
list and
quarterly mailing, as well as some local area H&I related
services.
I do beleive my experience with web page building and editing
would be an
asset to the committee. As already noted, I do have previous
experience
chairing service committees - both newly formed and mature,
established
committees. Communication of information at the regional level
is a key
of effectively and efficiently carrying the message. I'm
convinced that
God is leading me to serve NA, by using what he has given me, to
chair
the Ne RSC Internal Communications Committee. I've been praying
that I'll
be able to serve in this way.

So far the New Day Group is the only Group with votes. They are Larry R. and Danny K.
This Area has got the bid for the 2001 NA Regional Convention. The theme is " Trust the Process" We need lotsa help on this everyone. The next meeting will be at 3:15 on Sunday, the 8th of April, after the Area Meeting.
The Area has formed an H&I Sub-Committee. It will meet before next month's Area at 1:00 . If this committee doesn't get any support we will have to tell the Hall Co. Jail that we cannot bring a meeting there at this time. We need to encourage all those who want this to happen to show up.
The White books are in. We are waiting on the hand stamp to procede.
July Funtion; The Thursday nite VA meeting and the Alda Meeting have asked to host the street dance. The Area was ok with that.
Gina is ordering 20 copies of the 12 concepts for distribution throughout the Area. (I think she ordered 12 copies)
There was much discussion on carrying votes and other infomation back to Groups. It's seems some people are unsure about who does this or even when it gets done. It was decided that every Group needs to decide how to do it. The important thing was making sure the every addict has a voice if they want to use it.
We have replaced our current Area Represenitives. Lin has volunteered to be a temporary Rep for the April Region Meeting. The Area felt our Reps should attend the Area meetings.
IMPORTANT! If possible, try to get some Basic texts and Just For Todays signed and returned to me so I can take them down to McCook so Gilbert can take them with him to Peru. I'll be going down for the Chili thing on the 24th.
Next Area meeting the 8th of Apr., 2001, at St Stephens Church, Grand Island.
The H&I Sub-Comm. will meet at 1:00
The Area is from 1:30 to 3:00
The Convention Comm. will meet from 3:15 to 5:00
