Central Nebraska Area Minutes

We began our meeting with a Moment of Silence followed by the Third Step Prayer. After that we read last months minutes.

We first talked about who represented groups. After much talking we decided to pretty much keep doing it the same way we have been. If your not happy with your Groups representation you should bring it up with your Group.

Signature Card. Gina will take the initiative and try to solve by next Area.

For some reason the Literature keeps going to Lynn's house. Dane will change the address with world so we can receive it.

We talked a lot about the phone line. After much discussion it we decided to form a PI subcommittee. Dane J., George H., Ed, and Gina F. are the first members. A lot of places were mentioned to distribute the information.

Treasury Report.
We had a beginning balance of $294.06, Pizza cost us $243.06. Free will donation from dance was $142.50 We had an ending balance of $178.34. PLEASE NOTE! Group donations and expenditures that happen on the day of the Area Meeting will not show up till next months minutes. It was decided that the Treasurer's books and bank statements be passed around so everyone at the meeting can see them.

We split up the literature and stuff left from the game nite between the two Area functions coming up.

Co-Area Delegates Report We heard a report from Gilbert. He talked about NA World Service and the Conference Agenda Report. There were three motions coming down the line. One was on what to do the archives. Another was a 10 year plan for lit. He couldn't remember the third. He talked a little about the zonal forum.
Region Convention Com. turned over the money from the convention and they await the audit.
The GSR assemble will be held before the nest Regional meeting in April.

Angela was voted in as the new Chair.
A motion was brought up to to form a Regional web site. It was tabled to send back to Groups.
Another motion was brought up to continue the general assemblies before the Region Meetings. It passed.
We forwarded everything above our prudent reserve of $2980 to World. The donation was $1517.
There are numerous functions coming up in the Region.

We have two nominations for Co-Area Delegate; they are Sam and Candy. If anyone has any more nominations they should bring them to the next area meeting. Gus and Gina volunteered to attend the Region Meeting to serve as support.

We have a couple of functions going on in our Area; The Electric Candlelight Group is putting on a Valentines day dance on the 19th of February at the Cairo Gym. The New Day Group is putting on it's annual Chili Cook off on the next weekend at Blessed Sacrament Church in Grand Island.
